Pilot Project For Serviced Moorings Licences At Shannon Harbour

Waterways Ireland has opened the application process for Extended Term Serviced Mooring Licences at Shannon Harbour, Co Offaly. In this pilot project there are seven berths available for an extended mooring term of one year.
Waterways Ireland has developed these serviced moorings in Shannon Harbour, Co Offaly. Facilities include a berth on a fixed timber jetty with water, electricity & lighting and nearby pump-out, parking and toilet and shower provision.
Waterways Ireland has set up a dedicated webpage at www.waterwaysireland.org and provided downloadable copies of the license, the vacancy details and the application form for all enquirers to view. In addition, hard
copies may be requested and any enquiries directed
to the Property & Legal section on Tel no (048) 6632 3004.
Applications are invited from boat owners whose boat is their sole or main residence.
Application is by completion of the application form, confirming compliance with the licence conditions and the entering of a bid for the annual licence fee to exceed the minimum of €1,250. The closing date for receipt of applications is 23rd February 2012.
