Top Class Local Artists Perform In Roscrea

HIGH calibre talent from the Roscrea area will take the stage alongside nationally-known acts this Sunday evening November 13th at 7p.m. in St Cronan's Catholic Church.
Colm Brussels is a multi-talented musician whose compositions will be sung by soprano Yvonne O'Toole and accompanied by five harpists - Muireann O'Dwyer on concert harp and Irish harpists Naoise Barrett, Deirdre Murphy, Fiana O'Connell and Siofra Thornton. Yvonne has sung with the Bunratty Singers, Mike Denver and opera singer John Molloy.
Roscrea Community Choir is an ecumenical choir who have performed in Rome for the late Pope John Paul II. They will be accompanied by Jim Maley, organist, and Louise Smyth, cellist and member of the well known choral group 'Virtuoso'.
The Sacred Heart Children's Choir were commended in the Wesley Cup schools choral competition in 2015. David Kinsella, uileann piper and whistle player will accompany his son Denis Kinsella, bodhrán player and dancer, who was placed 4th in the 2016 World Dancing Championships. Other dancers include Isobel Coonan, Kelly Feehan, Jane Garahy, Roisín Kinsella, Megan Larkin, Saoirse Lawlor, Roisín McIntyre, Eve Murray and Michelle O'Neill.
Soprano Breffni Fitzpatrick has sung the lead in many musicals and was the winner of the Mignon Rumbold Memorial Cup.
Passing Though are a trio of local musicians, Sinead Browne, Bobby Fahy and Colin Williams who perform an eclectic mix of music.
Noel Joyce from Clonmore is an extraordinary raconteur, actor and twice winner of national Scór recitation competition performing his own humorous compositions.
All these plus the headliners Orla Fallon, Simon Casey and MC Ger Canning will provide a stunning night's entertainment this Sunday, in aid of the homeless in the Midlands and refugee children. Tickets available at Pattersons shop, Roscrea or by ringing (089) 438 9552.
