Community In Grieving After Passing Of Brave Tommy K thumbnailTommy Kelly Shaw, who sadly died this week.

IT IS with great sadness that we extend our deepest sympathy to parents Keith and Lisa, sister Shanna and brother Darragh, of Tommy Kelly Shaw who passed away on Tuesday after losing his brave battle with illness.

As the writer said, "There is no footprint too small to leave an imprint on this world", and this was certainly true of young Tommy who was only six years of age but brought laughter and light with him wherever he went.

He loved Mickey, Minnie, Donald and all of the Disney characters, therefore it was a lovely event for him when for a birthday the Dream Machine And the Dream Team headed to his house to surprise him and make his dream come true. An amazing party took place and Tommy couldn't believe that his favourite characters, along with his friends and family, were there to celebrate with him.

He celebrated his sixth birthday in January and there was a big party in Dooly's Hotel to mark the occasion. Local musicians Alan Cassidy, Martin Bennett, Andrew Conroy, T.J. Brewer, Michael Buckley, Brendan McGarry came together to launch a single 'Family' in honour of Tommy and to help raise funds for the Charity Aoibheann's Pink Tie, who have been incredibly supportive to his family during his illness.

Tommy Kelly Shaw lived in Birr, and he will be sadly missed and never forgotten by his loving parents Keith & Lisa, sister Shanna and brother Darragh, grandparents Michael and Ann Kelly, Billy and Yvonne Shaw, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home on Wednesday from 3p.m. to 8p.m. Removal from his home on Thursday morning at 10.15a.m. to arrive at St Brendan's Church, Birr at 10.45a.m. for Funeral Mass at 11a.m.. House Private on Thursday morning please.

At the request of Tommy's parents please wear brightly coloured clothes.

May his gentle soul Rest In Peace.
