Kilruane too strong for Newport

KILRUANE MACDONAGH'S proved far too strong for a battling Newport side in what proved a lacklustre North SHC quarter final clash in Dolla on Sunday afternoon last.
After a close first half, Kilruane opened up in the second half as the Mulcair side had no answer.
It was Kilruane who led 0-8 to 0-4 at half time but seconds after the restart it was Cian Darcy's goal who broke Newport's hearts.
