Ballinamere/Durrow host fourth annual Jack Wyer hurling tournament

AFTER the success of the tournament in 2014, 2015 and 2016, Ballinamere/Durrow Minor GAA Club are hosting the 4th Jack Wyer Hurling tournament.
This Tournament commemorates and celebrates the life of Jack, a young Ballinamere/Durrow hurler and footballer who passed away at a tragically young age on April 3rd 2014. Jack Wyer was a skilful hurler who played hurling with a smile on his face. He played the game as it should be played.
The tournament is U12 with 7 clubs participating. Ballinamere/Durrow, Na Fianna, Tullamore, Kilcormac/Killoughey, Shamrocks, Drumcullen and Clara.
All welcome on Wednesday and Friday nights to Ballinamere, Clara & Tullamore GAA to see the games with the action under lights. The first Round is on September 29th.
Club secretarys and team coaches will receive fixtures.
The Tournament will progress over a number of nights, finishing with a finals night (October 28th) where the Jack Wyer Memorial cup, sponsored by Ballinamere GAA, will be presented by Jack's Dad, Derek. The winning team will receive memorial t-shirts.

Friday, September 29
Ballinamere/Durrow v Clara (Ballinamere) (P. Fleming) 7.30pm; Kilcormac/Killoughey v Drumcullen (Mountbolus) (A. Kinahan) 7.00pm; Shamrocks v Na Fianna (in Ballinamere) (P. Fleming) 6.30pm.
Semi Finals: Wednesday October 25th - 1 V 4 & 2 V 3 in Ballinamere Ref Pat Fleming. Times TBC
Final: Saturday October 28th in Ballinamere. Ref Pat Fleming. Times TBC
