The stunningly beautiful and unique 300-year-old Gloster House, surrounded by extensive gardens, is a magical place that passed from private ownership to a Salesian order of nuns in 1958 and back to private ownership in 2001. Now available as an exclusive private venue for corporate functions, family celebrations and weddings, the house has been extensively and sensitively restored to its former glory by the present owners Tom and Mary Alexander, who have kindly offered to host this exciting fundraiser!

Following the great success of last year’s show and amazingly quick sale of all 300 seats, plans are underway for another evening of culture and fashion; opening with a Gloster House Visit, followed by a Wine Reception and a Fashion Show of occasion wear worthy of the surroundings, and this year we have the added attraction of live music.

This is a ticketed event and tickets will not be for sale at the door, so please contact: Cyril Stanley 087 2889616, or Hilda Mooney 087 7630981 (after 6pm) for tickets or further information. Tickets are €25, held at the same price as last year.

The funds raised on the night will go to St. Mary's Church of Ireland parish Shinrone, a church that has played its part in village life for almost 200 years. Though consecrated as a Church of Ireland Church, its graveyard has been used by both the Church of Ireland and Catholic communities. Furthermore, at the time of re-roofing of the local Roman Catholic church, St. Mary's was used for its ceremonies and Masses.

We look forward to a wonderful and entertaining evening at Gloster House, Brosna, Birr, Co. Offaly: Thursday April 11, gates open at 6.45pm.
