Rogers and Hammerstein’s all time classic ‘Oklahoma’ is set to return to the stage of St Brendan’s Community School, Birr for the third time on November 21.

Over almost four decades of musical productions, the students of St Brendan’s have gained a fine reputation for their annual musical. They have produced a fine variety of shows from Gilbert and Sullivan operas, to ‘Les Miserables’ and modern rock musicals.

This year’s production brings to life the time-honoured story of Curly and Laurie. Throw in Jud Fry, Aunt Eller, Gertie and Ali Hakim to name just a few of Oklahoma’s residents and you are sure to have a great night’s entertainment, for all ages.

The lively musical numbers of ‘O What a Beautiful morning’, ‘The Farmers and the Cowmen must be friends’ and ‘Oklahoma’, will have you singing along with the cast. This show is full of life and ideal for a teenage cast drawn from 2nd Year, TY and 5th Year.

The show will be performed in the school’s Sports Hall from Wednesday November 21 to Friday November 23 inclusive. Reductions for Student/OAP of €10 are available on Wednesday only. All tickets on Thursday and Friday are €12. Group rates available. Wednesday’s performance is at 7.30pm, with Thursday and Friday’s commencing at 8pm. Booking: (057) 9120510.
